It’s that time of year again – the 33rd annual County Fair is coming up! Running Thursday, Aug. 19 through Sunday, Aug. 23 at the TJ Community Center, it’s Arlington’s “largest multi-day event.” A shuttle bus will be running from various locations each day every half hour for only $1 and admission is absolutely free. Check out the list of teen-friendly activities below:
Celebrity Guest Ambre Lake, actress in such films as Sweet Home Alabama and the Season Two winner of the reality TV show “Rock of Love with Bret Michaels,” will be available for free meet/greet/photo opportunities.
The Indoor Exhibitor and Entertainment Hall will feature a new Teen Gaming area as well as an interactive aquarium, entertainment, arts and crafts, vendors and competitive exhibits (which are open to minors and include Photography, Fine Arts and Education and Leisure).
Outdoor Movie Nights will be held for free Friday, Aug. 21 and Saturday, Aug. 22, both beginning at 8:30 pm, showing Twilight the first night and Wall-E the second.
Amusement Park Rides – Who says they’re only for kids? Relive your childhood with friends or that special someone (for a little cash). The Magic Carpet Ride is always a favorite.
Food! And more food! And then some more. There will be plenty of “classic fair fare” – popcorn, candy, lemonade, you name it – and more standard fare as well.
